We just released the latest version of Shapr3D (2.1.0). Here are the most important new features and improvements you should know about.
New feature: image import
Put your ideas on paper and refine them in Shapr3D!
Now you can import images and use them as a reference to sketch over.
You can either import images from your photos folder or just take one with the iPad Pro’s camera.
We support the following image formats:
- JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, RAW and single page / first page PDFs
All images are rasterized, vectors are not supported.
You can now either use images to directly sketch over them like on this picture:
Or just use images a reference for your sketch / model like with this beach house project:
We added 7 short and 1 long tutorial so you can get more out of Shapr3D.
The short tutorials can be found in the app under the Get Advanced section.

We refreshed how the app looks like and perfected some user flows.
Implemented lots of general stability improvements and bug fixes.
