Get To Know Our Team

Q&A with Dani Caballero, Talent Acquisition Specialist

What initially attracted you to Shapr3D?

I’ve always been drawn to technology, and I already had an interest, and some experience, in the 3D and CAD space. When I came across Shapr3D, the product immediately stood out as something incredible. But what really set the company apart was the hiring process. It was rigorous and thoughtful, unlike many companies that don’t put much effort into really getting to know who they’re hiring. That level of care showed me that Shapr3D truly values bringing in top talent.

What excites you most about Shapr3D’s product and the challenges we help solve?

What excites me most is where the company is going. It’s not just about what we’ve built so far - it’s about what’s next. I love seeing how our technology is transforming the industry, like with Vision Pro integration, which is completely changing the way designers work by eliminating the need for physical prototypes. The potential is huge, and it’s amazing to be part of something that’s shaping the future.

What’s the most challenging part of your role?

Balancing high expectations in a fast-paced environment is definitely a challenge. We have a lot of freedom and autonomy, which is great, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. Another tricky part is scheduling interviews with people who are constantly busy,it can feel like putting together a complex puzzle!

How has your role evolved over time?

Over time, I’ve grown into the level of autonomy that comes with working here. At first, I expected things to be more structured, but instead, I found that I had the freedom to make decisions and shape my role in a meaningful way. In the beginning, I was just focused on learning how things worked and now I’m the one driving processes forward and making improvements.

What’s the work-life balance like at Shapr3D? How would you describe the collaboration with your colleagues?

The work-life balance is good, though the pace is definitely fast, and expectations are high. What makes it work is the open and direct communication - everyone, from peers to leadership, is approachable and willing to help. The team is genuinely supportive, and collaboration feels natural. It’s a challenging environment, but in a way that pushes you to grow, which is really rewarding if you thrive in that.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

I love having the freedom to make decisions that have a real impact. There’s a strong culture of trust here—if you see an opportunity, you’re encouraged to take action. That’s really motivating. Plus, the relationships within the team make the day-to-day work enjoyable. The dynamic is supportive, and working with such talented people makes every challenge worth it.

What did you do before Shapr?

Even though I'm a recruiter, I hold a technical diploma in Automation and Industrial Robotics. My first 2 jobs were in a Petrochemical factory and a Nuclear Power plant in Spain as a Field Service Engineer where my job was to program and maintain the control systems on-site.
